Long Live
A$AP

Harlem native, Rakim Mayers, publicly known as A$AP ROCKY, has just released his debut album “LONG.LIVE.A$AP” on A$AP Worldwide, Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records. The style and video direction for the title track are no surprise; black and white format, camera close-ups mainly focused on Mayers’ unique sense of style topped with luxurious  bling-bling accessories (i.e his grill). The song however is an interesting contrast of style between the verse and chorus. Sung, the chorus has a catchy and pleasant touch with a Pharrell-like high-pitched melody, whereas the verses create a cold atmosphere with a ruthless flow. Somehow ASAP makes it work and keeps us wanting more. “I’m not doing songs to compete with nobody, that’s why I’m winning.” The 24-year old rapper /video director seems to have a lot of things going for him at the moment including an uncontaminated vision of the music industry and a growing passion for fashion. Plus, the album is set to include guest appearances from Santigold, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Action Bronson and many more. Say no more. Buy A$AP Rocky -'Long.Live.A$AP' ALBUM HERE
